#25DAYSOFINDIE FROM A BIBLIOPHILE'S JOURNEY: Day 23

 #25DAYSOFINDIE FROM A BIBLIOPHILE'S JOURNEY

Lexie Thach is a young woman who was raised in a one bedroom apartment above a delicatessen by a cold, indifferent aunt who avoided discussing Lexie’s family. After graduating college and a series of menial jobs, she is a successful author and her main objective is to move from her tiny, cramped apartment and buy a large roomy house to call home.

There is a glitch, or so she thinks, in her computer that causes it to turn itself on and display a spacious mansion. The magnificent house fits Lexie’s dream home to a tee and the page provides detailed instructions to the location of the South Carolina estate.

The house haunts Lexie until she and her best friend and agent, Roxie Carter, pack up and start a journey to the south that will change both their lives. The house on Blackbird Lane pulls them into a murder mystery, supernatural involvement, and perhaps, if they survive, gives Lexie the answers to her past that she never dreamed existed.

All I ever wanted was to be a cheerleader. That's it. Just lead my squad running and screaming across the gym floor while the students rocked the bleachers. But that will never happen. Dreams like that stopped after my accident. I'm broken. Like a violin with a missing string—the music inside of me is all garbled up. And despite what my perpetually cheerful physical therapist says—there is no happy ending for someone like me. My BFF and Seb, the one armed assistant coach, keep preaching to me about their God and His love until I just want to scream. But there's something about the two of them—something peaceful and happy that I sometimes think I want. Something that starts me believing that maybe the most impossible dreams can come true.

There’s no such thing as dragons.
Of that, Jade Delaney was sure. She may not have known who she was or where she came from, but at least she had a plan for her future.
All that changes when a dragon summons her back to the world from which she came. There, she learns dragons are real, the truth of her birth, and just why she was abandoned as a toddler.
Now she must discover and stop whoever is killing the dragons, while avoiding the man who is hunting her.

A woman survives a harrowing assault on a college campus. Ten years later, she is stunned to hear of a murder case with markings chillingly similar to her attack. This is the story of how a rape victim reluctantly heads down the path she most fears in the hope that she can stop the attacker, find some measure of justice, and, most of all, heal herself.

After enduring the kidnapping and sexual assault as a college student--and watching her attacker be brought to trial only to be set free--Quinn Carlisle has managed to put her life back together. A decade later, a young woman is found murdered with the same word tattoo, carved in the same manner as Quinn suffered in her attack. The news explodes her rebuilt, fragile life but it forces Quinn to make tough choices: plow back into the world of law enforcement and stop her attacker once and for all, yet also face her demons.
